After learning the techniques and basics of photoshop and illustrator, my idea around my zine fixated. I decided to produce a zine that incorporates fashion. In the beginning, I didn't entirely know what direction I was taking. I knew that I wanted to create little characters of fashion that embodied a particular clothing scheme. I decided to put a spin on my idea of today's fashion while showing what each particular genre of clothing was like in the '60s through the '90s. Each character I created on illustrator is from some sketches I had done. I wanted my zine to depict fashion with places. and outfit for an occasion. I tried to emphasize fashion positively and encourage people's unique styles. This zine didn't have a deep, hidden level to its meaning. I went for a straightforward approach to fashion itself. I chose fashion in particular because I have always had a love and desire for fashion. My mom is a clothing designer. My sisters and I when growing up would always put on little fashion shows and our love for clothing and fashion grew as we did.
